Well, the day before yesterday, I got tired of eating hamburger. So I had J go out and get a rotisserie chicken for L & I. And it went down nicely. We put some Italian salad dressing on it to keep it moist. Then last night, I tried to eat some of the leftovers. I was so sick afterward. I had to go to bed at 8:30, and I slept most of the way through until 8:30 this morning. Pain, chills, over full sensations (no fever, though, I checked). It was awful. I'm not loving the whole trial and error eating. The 6th is my day for moving to stage 4 (if I feel ready), so I'm hoping that means I'll feel better by then.
So I guess it's back to meatloaf for me. We still have some. Meanwhile, I think my mini fridge needs replacing. It's been making weird noises, and L says she doesn't think it's holding the temperatures. It's old, though. We got it in the mid 90s, so it's probably 20. I need to figure out how to afford a new one. It's been way to convenient to do without, especially since I've had more health issues. Anybody know of a good place to buy a cheap but decently large mini-fridge? I need delivery, because my brakes still don't work.
I am so sick of being broke. K had to cancel her 6 week post-op appointment, b/c she couldn't get a ride. Someone had offered to loan her their car, and then backed out on her at the last minute. Too late for her to get the medi-van. We all have appointments later this month. The girls can get medi-van, but I'm not sure they can get me all the way to Concord by 10:00 am. They have extremely short hours when they can get you there and back. Not cool. It's usually something like you can't get there before 11:00, and you have to be done by 2:00. Um... ? Doctor's Office. They can't give everyone an 11:00, 12:00 or 1:00. Whatever.
Anyway, I hope we still have meatloaf left. I'm not sure what else I can eat. It's hard to find stage 3 recipes. The meatloaf recipe came from a handout I got from Marie (I think - could've been Jessica at a nutrition group). But most of the recipes they gave us are stage 4. I'm the only one still on stage 3, so I don't think L is going to feel like making more stage 3 food. And right now, I'm still weak from being so sick last night. Damn, I am looking forward to when I can finally eat stage 4 food without getting sick. Salad, I love you.
But did I mention that I didn't like the yogurt smoothie, either? Ugh. It was like drinking a cup of yogurt. And not in a good way. I think I just generally hate milk things. I like normal yogurt, but bleh. Maybe I will just try throwing some fruit into some vanilla yogurt and eating it. Berries weren't on the acceptable list yet, but that's what kind of fruit I can eat (allergies), so too bad. I won't eat raspberries or something with obvious seeds. Right now, though, I'm going to look into meatloaf leftovers. May the foods be with you. lol.
